LANDSCAPE SUPERVISOR
Overview
Wright's Lawn Care and Landscaping, Inc. is currently seeking a highly motivated, energetic person to join our landscaping team. Full time, year round position is available for a LANDSCAPE SUPERVISOR at our Milton, Delaware office. We presently serve Sussex and Kent counties in Delaware.
Principal Duties include:
The primary responsibility of this position is to assure quality maintenance service and installation of landscaping and irrigation. Duties and responsibility are as follows and are not limited to: coordinating and monitoring work performance; excellent communication skills; honesty; leadership potential; an ability to train employees in proper landscaping practices; ability to work in a team environment; maintain quality and safety on job sites. Develop plans and job estimates. Good installation practices.
Education Requirements: A degree in horticulture, landscape contracting or related major and/or minimun of 3 to 5 years landscaping experience. Valid drivers' license.

GARDENER - HORTICULTURE DEPARTMENT
Overview
The gardener is responsible for working with members of the Horticulture staff in specified area in the Winterthur Garden and Estate. The Gardener will assist in maintaining the naturalisitc design of the garden by practicing good safety and horticultural techniques. The Gardener is considered essential personnel and will help with weather emergencies.
Principal Duties include:
Horticulture maintenance; Site maintenance/Hardscape; Training participation; Aesthetic/Environmental Stewardship; Events Prepartion/Programming
Education Requirements: High School Graduate; 2 years in an accredited horticulture program or related field is preferred
Experience Required: Minimum of 6 months field experience in horticulture or related field; experience in a public garden is preferred.
Salary: $9.50/hour

LANDSCAPE DESIGNER / SALESPERSON
Education and Experience
Degree in Landscape Design or Horticulture or 2 years work experience. Experience in sales.
Responsibilities
Mandatory: Good people skills, ability to work individually and in a team environment. Staff a retail nursery yard where lifting is required. Knowledge of plant nomenclature and culture.
Desirable: Cashier experience. On the spot Landscape Design consultation, job costing and materials estimation, preparation and presentation of design experience. Knowledge of hardscape materials such as stone, interlocking pavers and mulch.

LANDSCAPE DESIGNER / SALESPERSON
Job DescriptionResponsibilities
1. Consultation with clients to assess landscaping needs and desires - sometimes after regular business hourss and on weekends
2. Completion of site analyses including measuring site, determining soil and drainage conditions, wind and sun patterns, etc.
3. Preparation and presentation of landscape design, specifications, and installation proposal
4. Completion of project sales and accounts receivables
5. Coordination of installation of projects including, ordering and acquiring hardscaping and plant materials, on site layout and supervision, and client follow up
6. Cooperation with owners of company and other managers to coordinate services (design / build / maintain), set budgets, analyze job costs, and general company operation and management
Qualifications
1. Creative ability to meet needs of clients through consultation, design preparation, and installation supervision
2. Thorough knowledge of plants materials and horticultural practices
3. Thorough knowledge of hardscaping materials and construction techniques for interlocking pavers, block walls, dry laid natural stone, water features, and low-voltage lighting
4. Ability to design projects for subcontracting including deck and timber elements, irrigation, fencing and concrete paving
Education and Experience
1. Degree in Landscape Design, Horticulture or Architecture
2. Experience in designing, selling and supervising the installation and construction of residential and commercial landscaping projects
