Controlling Backyard Invaders
"What's the plant that's taking over my backyard garden, and how do I get rid of it?" This is a question posed by many a homeowner. Controlling Backyard Invaders was developed by the Delaware Nature Society and focuses on the identification and subsequent control of aggressive invasive plants (no longer available in the marketplace) most commonly found on a homeowner's property. "Not only will control improve the diversity of native and non-invasive plants, but it will also improve habitat and help prevent the spread of invasive plants to neighboring areas." DNLA member landscape contractors can assist homeowners with the removals and/or replanting of the disturbed areas.
